Wedding Make Up

Wedding Make Up

Is there a minimum booking requirement?

No, I am happy to provide make up for only one person if necessary.  However, as I dedicate myself to one wedding party per day, it may be worth considering utilising my services for other members of your bridal party.

Will I be charged for travel?

Travel expenses are charged at 45 pence per mile from my base in Yeadon. Costs incurred for parking, rail travel, or hotel accommodation (if required) will be recharged to the Client, but will be agreed in advance before any arrangements are made.

What do I pay & when?

In order to secure your wedding date, a £50.00 booking fee is required.   This will be deducted from the final balance.  I ask for half the remaining balance to be paid on the day of the Trial, and the remaining is to be paid no later than 30 days before the wedding day.

How do I book?

You can call me or send a request for Quotation by clicking here.  After discussing your requirements, if you would like to book I will send you a booking form which includes the booking details, terms of service, and payment invoice.  Payments can be made by cash, card or by BACS transfer. Once a signed form is returned to me and booking fee received you shall receive a booking confirmation via email.

Must I have a Trial?

A Trial is recommended so we can explore and create the look that’s perfect for you.  You get to see the colours, style, and quality of my work to ensure you are perfectly satisfied, plus I get to know your skin to help me find the perfect combination of products for a flawless, long-lasting look.  The Trial is important for your confidence as you know exactly how you will look on the big day.  I take notes and pictures to ensure I can recreate the look perfectly.

When do I have the Trial?

I generally recommend we do the Trial together 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding date.

Where will the Trial be?

I am better equipped for a more comprehensive Trial if you are able to attend my Studio in Yeadon.  However if you would prefer to do it elsewhere I can travel with the majority of my kit to anywhere you prefer.

Can I bring someone with me to the Trial?

Yes of course, but I would prefer this is only one other person.

What do I need to prepare for the Trial?

Please attend the trial with no makeup applied, and no tanning products if possible.  I recommend you wear a top that closely matches the colour of your dress, as this helps give the best impression of the finished result.  You are welcome to bring any accessories you will wear on the wedding day (veil if you have one). If you have collected any images of any styles you quite like (or dislike!), bring those along too.

I don’t have any idea how I want my makeup to be, will this be a problem?

Not at all – that’s what I’m here for!  I can make recommendations, show you examples from my portfolio, and together we shall explore the perfect look for you.

What if I’m not satisfied with the Trial results?

I will do everything I can to make sure you are completely satisfied and confident in the look we create, however if you are not satisfied with the results of the Trial and do not wish to proceed for the wedding day then only the cost of the Trial will be payable (minus the booking fee already paid) and the wedding booking will be cancelled.

What should I expect on the wedding day?

I will travel to you, whether that be in the comfort of your own home or at your venue for your bridal preparations.  It would be most helpful to have a table to set up my equipment in an area where there is good natural light. Timings for the day will be discussed and arranged at your Trial so you are aware of what time I will arrive and what time I aim to be finished (usually an hour before you have to leave for your wedding, giving you time to get dressed, have finishing touches and pictures). I can be on hand to help with anything from lacing up your dress to fastening your shoes… you just have to ask!  (I've even delivered Brides to their Venue after their Wedding car didn't arrive!)

How many people can you work with on the morning of the wedding?

Generally, I can carry out up to 6 individual sessions, but depending on time available I could do more.  We shall need to discuss timings and requirements accordingly.

How long does it take?

The hardest question to answer!  It depends on so many factors and this will be discussed in detail with you at the Trial so you know exactly what to expect.  We shall make sure there is ample time and no rushing about.

What products do you use?

I use a wide variety of premium brands such as  MAC, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, MORPHE and many more. I also use high quality brushes and professional lighting for a flawless finish and striking photos.

Will my makeup last?

I always ensure your makeup is extremely durable and long lasting on your wedding day, but everybody’s skin is different so how well your makeup will last may vary.  A skin care regime will be covered at the Trial to ensure your skin is in the best condition, which is vital in helping with the durability of your makeup. I will ensure I match the best products for your skin type and conditions.  For example, there are certain products more suitable for hot days where your skin may sweat.  I will advise you on products that you may want to purchase to use on the run up to your wedding day to ensure your makeup is still perfect when your evening guests arrive.

What happens if Hannah can’t make the wedding day ?

I am 100% committed to being there on the day.  In the very unlikely event of unforeseeable circumstances (such as injury, severe illness, urgent family emergency etc.) that render me unable to fulfil my obligations, I will make very best endeavours to arrange for an equally qualified makeup artist to attend in my absence.  If in the unlikely event that I am unable to arrange a replacement artist, a full refund would be provided.

What if I need to postpone the wedding?

If a situation arises that requires the wedding to be postponed, I will always make very best endeavours to accommodate your new chosen date, however it will depend on my availability around my other bookings. I ask that you give me as much notice as possible to give me the best chance of being able to confirm the later date for you.

What if I need to cancel?

The booking fee is refundable up to 14 days after the booking is confirmed if you were to change your mind.  After this the booking fee is not refundable should you choose to cancel.   If cancellation is after the balance has been paid (or part thereof), no refund will be due as I am unlikely to be able to offer your slot to another Client at short notice.

Are you fully insured?

Yes I am, my insurance certificate is available to view in the Home page.

How can I contact you?

You can send an email to hannahlouisebeauty@hotmail.com, or give me a call on +44 (0) 7866 464288.   Don’t hesitate to get in touch!
