Thank you for choosing Hannah Louise Beauty.

I take great pride in providing a professional, personal and reliable service to every client, whether you're visiting for a beauty treatment, semi-permanent makeup or booking me for your wedding day.

To ensure everything runs smoothly and appointments are managed fairly, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with my Booking & Cancellation Policy.

By confirming a booking, you agree to the applicable terms outlined below, which will be made available to you before you book.

1. General Appointments & Bookings

Appointments can be made through my website, by telephone or by contacting me directly.

All appointments are subject to availability and will be confirmed by email or other agreed communication.

Please ensure that your contact information is accurate so that I can send appointment confirmations, reminders and any necessary preparation instructions.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

I understand that circumstances can change, and I will always do my best to accommodate requests to rearrange appointments.

However, I kindly request at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Late cancellations and missed appointments can result in lost income, as it is often difficult to fill appointments at short notice.

Where a cancellation or missed-appointment charge applies, this will be clearly communicated before booking and will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances and losses incurred.

If you are unwell or experiencing unexpected circumstances, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss your options.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible.

Depending on the time remaining, it may be necessary to shorten, rearrange or cancel your appointment to avoid affecting other clients.

2. Semi-Permanent Makeup Treatments

Semi-permanent makeup treatments, including Microblading, Lip Blush and Lipstick Look, require an initial consultation to discuss your desired results and assess your suitability for treatment.

Consultations & Patch Testing

Before undertaking treatment:

  • A consultation will be completed to discuss your requirements, medical history and treatment options.

  • A patch test will be performed where required by the treatment protocol and products being used.

  • You will be asked to complete a medical consultation and consent form.

  • Any relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies or previous treatments must be disclosed.

  • You will be provided with information about the procedure, potential risks, expected results and aftercare.

Where required, the full patch-testing observation period must have elapsed and the results must have been assessed before treatment can proceed.

Consultation Fees

Where a consultation fee is payable, the amount will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.

For treatments where the consultation fee is deductible from the total treatment price, this will be confirmed in the relevant service description.

Treatment Suitability

Your health and safety are always my priority.

I reserve the right to postpone, modify or decline treatment where there are reasonable concerns about medical suitability, contraindications, patch-test results or other safety considerations.

Where a treatment cannot proceed, any applicable charges or refunds will be considered fairly, taking into account the circumstances and any services already provided.

Treatment Results & Follow-Up Appointments

Semi-permanent makeup results vary between individuals and can be affected by skin type, lifestyle, medical conditions and adherence to aftercare instructions.

Some treatments may require an additional session or colour adjustment to achieve the desired result.

Any included follow-up treatments, recommended timescales and additional charges will be explained before treatment.

3. Wedding Makeup Bookings

Being part of your wedding day is a privilege, and I am committed to providing a relaxed, reliable and personalised service.

I accept only one wedding booking per day, dedicating my availability exclusively to your bridal party.

This means that once your wedding date is confirmed, I may turn away other enquiries for that date.

For this reason, the following booking, payment and cancellation terms apply specifically to wedding makeup services.

Securing Your Wedding Date

A £50 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date.

This fee is deducted from the total agreed cost of your wedding makeup booking.

Following discussion of your requirements, I will provide a quotation detailing the agreed services and costs.

Your booking will be confirmed once:

  • You have accepted the quotation and agreed to the booking terms.

  • Any required booking documentation has been completed.

  • The £50 booking fee has been received.

  •

You will receive written confirmation of your booking by email.

Until these steps have been completed, your requested date cannot be guaranteed.

Wedding Payment Schedule

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following payment schedule applies:

On Booking

A £50 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This is deducted from your total wedding makeup cost.

At Your Bridal Trial

Half of the remaining agreed wedding balance becomes payable on the day of your bridal trial.

30 Days Before Your Wedding

The full outstanding balance must be paid no later than 30 days before your wedding date.

Any additional payments made in the meantime will be deducted from your outstanding balance.

For bookings made within 30 days of the wedding, payment in full may be required at the time of confirmation.

Payments can be made by cash, card or bank transfer.

Bridal Makeup Trials

A bridal makeup trial is strongly recommended and is ideally arranged approximately 6-8 weeks before your wedding.

During your trial, we will discuss your preferred makeup style, skin type, products, colours and the overall look you would like to achieve.

Trials are normally held at my studio in Glusburn, where I have access to my full range of products and equipment.

Alternative arrangements may be available by prior agreement, subject to any additional travel charges.

If You Are Unhappy With Your Trial

Your confidence and satisfaction are extremely important to me.

If, following your trial, you are unhappy with the results and decide not to proceed with your wedding makeup booking, only the agreed cost of the trial will be payable.

Your £50 booking fee will be credited towards the trial cost, and any additional wedding booking payments will be refunded.

Wedding Travel & Additional Expenses

Travel is charged at 45p per mile from my base in Glusburn, as detailed in your quotation.

Any additional parking, rail travel or hotel accommodation costs, where applicable, will be discussed and agreed with you before arrangements are made.

Changes to Your Wedding Booking

If you need to change the number of people requiring makeup, the preparation location or any other booking arrangements, please contact me as soon as possible.

I will make every reasonable effort to accommodate changes, subject to availability and the time required.

Changes that affect the services, travel arrangements or preparation schedule may require an adjustment to your quotation.

Any additional charges will be explained and agreed before they are incurred.

Wedding Postponements

If your wedding needs to be postponed, I will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your new date, subject to my existing bookings and availability.

Please notify me as early as possible to give me the best opportunity to accommodate the revised arrangements.

If I am unable to accommodate your new date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation, and the cancellation terms below will apply, subject to your statutory rights.

Wedding Cancellations & Refunds

When you book your wedding makeup with Hannah Louise Beauty, your chosen date is reserved exclusively for your bridal party.

As I accept only one wedding booking per day, I may decline other enquiries once your booking is confirmed.

Cancelling a wedding booking can therefore result in significant financial loss, particularly when cancellation occurs close to the wedding date and there is little opportunity to secure replacement work.

The following cancellation arrangements are intended to reflect these circumstances.

Cancellation Within 14 Days of Booking

If you cancel within 14 days of receiving your booking confirmation, your £50 booking fee will be refunded.

Any separately agreed services already provided, including a bridal trial, remain chargeable where legally permitted.

This arrangement does not affect any additional statutory cancellation rights that may apply.

Cancellation More Than 30 Days Before the Wedding

If you cancel more than 14 days after booking, but more than 30 days before your wedding:

  • Your £50 booking fee will normally be retained towards the reasonable costs and losses associated with reserving your date.

  • Any additional payments will be refunded, less reasonable charges for services already provided and other recoverable losses arising directly from the cancellation.

Any amounts retained will be fair and proportionate to the circumstances.

Cancellation Within 30 Days of the Wedding

The full outstanding wedding balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.

If you cancel within 30 days of your wedding, a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the agreed wedding makeup fee will apply.

This reflects the exclusive reservation of your wedding date, the likelihood that other enquiries will have been declined, and the significant difficulty of securing replacement work at short notice.

However, any cancellation charge will be limited to the reasonable financial loss resulting from your cancellation, taking into account services already provided,

costs saved by not attending the wedding, and any replacement booking secured or reasonably obtainable.

Where the reasonable loss is less than the amount already paid, an appropriate refund will be provided.

The purpose of these terms is to protect against genuine financial loss, not to impose an unreasonable penalty.

All wedding cancellations must be made in writing as soon as possible.

If I Am Unable to Attend Your Wedding

I am fully committed to fulfilling every confirmed wedding booking.

In the very unlikely event that illness, injury, an urgent family emergency or other unforeseen circumstances prevent me from attending your wedding, I will make every reasonable effort to arrange a suitably qualified replacement makeup artist, subject to your agreement.

If an appropriate replacement cannot be arranged and I am unable to fulfil the booking, a full refund of your wedding booking payments will be provided.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

4. Health, Safety & Treatment Preparation

For all treatments, please follow any preparation instructions provided before your appointment.

You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies or changes to your health that may affect the safety or suitability of your treatment.

Certain treatments require consultation forms, patch testing or specific preparation before the procedure can proceed.

I may postpone or decline a treatment where there are reasonable concerns about health, safety or treatment suitability.

Please contact me before your appointment if you are unsure whether a medical condition, medication or other circumstance could affect your treatment.

5. Appointments Cancelled by Hannah Louise Beauty

Every effort will be made to honour confirmed appointments.

However, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally make it necessary to rearrange or cancel an appointment.

If this happens, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and offer a suitable alternative appointment where available.

If I am unable to provide an agreed service, an appropriate refund will be offered in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

6. Privacy & Personal Information

Your privacy is important to me.

Personal information supplied when booking appointments, completing consultation forms or receiving treatments is handled in accordance with the Hannah Louise Beauty Privacy Policy.

Medical consultation information is treated confidentially and is used for assessing treatment suitability, providing services and maintaining appropriate treatment records.

Please refer to the Privacy Policy available on this website for further details about how your personal information is collected, used, stored and protected.

7. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Booking & Cancellation Policy excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights under applicable UK law.

All services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

Any cancellation charges, advance payments and refunds will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

8. Contact Information

If you have any questions about this policy, need to amend a booking or wish to discuss a cancellation, please get in touch.
